Scary...
Mood:  spacey
Now Playing: "New Skin" - Incubus
One of my friends sent me a link to an article at discovery.com this evening. Please visit the link, then come back here and continue reading this post: ARTICLE
After reading this article which is astounding in itself, I thought about a poem from a collection called The Pill Versus the Springhill Mine Disaster by Richard Brautigan. Below is the poem. Read it.

All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace

I like to think (and
the sooner the better!)
of a cybernetic meadow
where mammals and computers
live together in mutually
programming harmony
like pure water
touching clear sky.

I like to think
(right now, please!)
of a cybernetic forest
filled with pines and electronics
where deer stroll peacefully
past computers
as if they were flowers
with spinning blossoms.

I like to think
(it has to be!)
of a cybernetic ecology
where we are free of our labors
and joined back to nature,
returned to our mammal
brothers and sisters,
and all watched over
by machines of loving grace.

If that doesn't get you thinking, then you might want to check your pulse!

ADHD
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: "Vanishing" - A Perfect Circle
I hope everyone read my first post, and if you havent read it NOW!!! You really will get something from it.
This the second post of my Blog, and its nothing in-depth. If you have ADHD, then you know what hyperfocusing is. Its when you get super focused on something without any particular reason. These past few days I have been obsessed with reconstructing my personal website. I totally remade the main page and created two new picture pages.
Anyone that has designed web pages using source code (HTML, Java, etc.) knows that alot of work and time goes into a good page. Take a moment to check it out by clicking HERE.
If you have any comments or suggestions please dont hesitate to post them here or use the contacts on the webpage. Thats all for now. check back every so often for new posts!

Das erste blog!
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: "Do You Realize" - The Flaming Lips
OK, so its been eons since my last blog update. In fact, its been so long since I have even looked at my blog page that I completely forgot my username and password!! Well, right now I am reading "Survivor" by Chuck Palahniuk. Any of you who read, or have read Chuck know why we read his books. Every couple of chapters you will find a paragraph that really explains something about life. These little sardonic nuggets get me so excited I usually write them down, sometimes to be turned into away messages. This time however, the insight is so amazing I felt I had to share it with everyone. What better way then to Blog it?

Do you have any idea how boring it is to be me? To know everything? To see everything coming from a million miles away? It's getting unbearable. And its not just me. We're all bored.
We all watch the same television programs, we all hear the same things on the radio, we all repeat the same talk to each other. There are no surprises left. There's just more of the same. Reruns.
We all grew up with the same television shows.
It's like we all have the same artificial memory implants.
We remember almost none of our real childhoods, but we remember everything that happened to sitcom families.
We have the same basic goals.
We all have the same fears.
The future is not bright.
Pretty soon we'll all have the same thoughts at the same time.
We'll be in perfect unison. Synchronized. United. Equal. Exact. The way ants are. Insectile. Sheep.
Everything is so derivative. A reference to a reference to a reference.
The big question people ask isn't "What's the nature of existence?" The big question people ask is "What's that from?"
-Chuck Palahniuk - "Survivor"
